Razor's Edge: The Falklands War 1982
Naval, Air, and Land Battles in the South Atlantic

Razor's Edge: The Falklands War 1982, forthcoming from Sapper Studio, is a deep, layered multi-domain 'sandbox'-style board game covering the campaign by British air, naval and land forces to retake the Falkland Islands, and the response by the Argentine forces attempting to repel them.
The game comes with the main 1982 campaign scenario, shorter air-naval and land campaign scenarios, and a hypothetical 2028 re-invasion scenario with its own counters. There are also optional rules to allow for different orders of battle, team play, and alternative history events.
The game encompasses all aspects of the historic campaign, from the initial attempt by the British to gain air and naval dominance, to the choice of amphibious landing site, to the land battles required to retake Port Stanley. Submarines, special forces and the need to detect the enemy's location and their strength all feature.
Both sides must grapple with changeable and debilitating weather effects, supply challenges, and a wider political context where setbacks can test a side’s resolve to continue the fight.
As the British, you will need to decide upon when and where to launch the amphibious landing, based on how effectively or otherwise you manage to attrit Argentine air and naval forces, and your knowledge of the disposition of Argentine land forces. Your carriers are vital, but irreplaceable if lost.
As the Argentines, you will need to manage your potent but fragile air assets, decide if and when to bring your naval forces into play, and at the outset determine where to position your land forces for defence of the island. Your Exocets can make all the difference, but only if used at the right time.
Success or failure for either side could be determined by a single operation. That’s the razor’s edge!
